What are the most common types of sod? Pallets or Rolls??? Sod Farms generally will cut sod into two forms: pallets and rolls. Some grasses they will not cut into rolls at all due to the density of the grass. There has always been a debate over which is better. Rolls can make it easier to install for some, but not for others. Honestly, there really isn't a right choice here, just a preference. If you ask a 100 people the same question, you will get 100 different answers on this one.
