sITE work

Site Work is the portion of a construction project that is not part of the building structure. This includes new structures such as new home sites and renovation building sites.  Usually this includes services such as grading, excavation, landscape irrigation and the installation of driveways.  Land clearing and hauling are  of course, apart of this process.  We also install retaining walls and drainage solutions during this time.  If you need your landscape designed afterwards, just click here and we can do that too!

brush mowing solution

Brush mowing is a money saving, land clearing method using a heavy duty mower with heavy duty blades, that removes trees up to 9", overgrowth, clears trails and paths, does forest mulching, hard to reach mowing places, right aways, and does it in half the time as traditional land clearing! No permits or hauling needed!

The Brush Mowing Solution (why brush mowing still?)

  • No runoff & erosion issues by tearing up the ground

  • No hauling, disposing or burning

  • No ground disturbance

  • Removes overgrowth, kudzu & thorns

  • Can clear right aways & utility easements

  • Saves money & time

We also offer bush hogging & forest mulching.  Bush hogging is also land clearing. Bush hogging uses a rotary style mower that is pulled by an excavator or tractor. A bush hog can typically mow large grown, about as high as your forearm.  No matter what type of land clearing method you need, we can clear farmhouse pastures, new construction sites,  new home site prep, property clearing,  line trails, pathways, overgrowth, yards, clearing heavily wooded areas, and any other area you need cleared.

Shoreline & Streambank Stabilization

Shoreline or stream bank stabilization is erosion control along a waterway.  Some causes for erosion control along waterways come from stormwater runoff (thanks to impervious surfaces,) clearing of natural vegetation, and natural occurrences.

Shoreline and Streambank Stabilization Methods We Use

  • Rip Rap

  • Engineered Seawalls or Lakewalls

  • Gabion Basket Walls

retention & detention pond cleaning

Retention ponds are areas that are designed to collect storm runoff and prevent erosion. Brush mowing is an excellent method of clearing these areas. It is also important to de-muck and keep piping clear in these areas to minimize the aquatic habitats in the area.

Why is this retention pond cleaning important?

  • Clogged retention ponds can cause property damage due to flooding

  • Can decline property value & increase insurance rates due to flooding

  • Impacts aquatic habitats

  • Increases stream temperatures

  • Decreases number of life & diversity in aquatic habitats

  • Can enter into the drinking water

Retention Pond Cleaning / Clearing

  • Clean up (including brush mowing solution)

  • Erosion control

  • Sediment control

  • De-Muck retention pond

  • Pipe cleaning
